"I booked Jack for my son's 10th birthday party. He and his mates had a great time as Jack made the party fun but also put on an enjoyable & useful training session too. Also he stayed behind at the end for a chat with the boys and parents and was great company. I'd thoroughly recommend anyone thinking of booking him to go ahead and arrange a sports party with Jack."

Jack Midson has been coaching our boy's tennis for the past 3 years. Adam and Jamie are now 10 and 8 years old. They really look forward to their lessons with Jack.

Jack has an exceptional ability to bring out the best in children and we would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

We booked Jack to come along and do a football party for our son Josh’s 8th birthday. As soon as Jack arrived he had the kids under his spell in a well organised training session consisting of warming up, penalty shootout and matches lasting over one and a half hours with the best players receiving trophy’s.

After the football had finished Jack took time to sign autographs and have photos taken with the kids and their parents and also helping to cut the cake and the odd game of swing ball. Once again we would like to thank Jack for his time and efforts in teaching the kids new skills and giving them good advise which will help their football futures (I think even the dads picked up a new trick or two). Thanks and good luck for the coming season with Oxford United.

Jack agreed to host our Son Ollie's 7th birthday football party. From the off Fifteen football mad seven year olds were completely enthralled as Jack started a coaching session and taught them a few tricks and many techniques.

Jack made sure that all the boys were completely included regardless of their ability and all looked forward to the 'final' penalty shoot out. The winner received a handsome trophy courtesy of Jack as did the birthday boy which was a lovely touch. The nature in which the session was conducted with Jack providing encouragement combined with individual pep talks meant that there were no tears or tantrums but a rousing celebration for the winner. All the boys were delighted!

After the coaching session, Jack took time to chat with the boys and have some banter with the parents, sing happy birthday and to convert a few 'waywards' to the cause of Oxford United.

We would very much like to thank Jack for making this a very special birthday for Ollie and his friends. He's clearly an experienced coach who finds it easy to enthuse his charges and bring out their best! Having met him, it's very easy to see why he is a 'fans' favourite at Oxford United!

Many thanks Jack, a great day that will be remembered for a long time!!

As a season ticket holder at Oxford United, I knew of Jack's tennis coaching, & I e-mailed him to see if he would be interested in taking some tennis lessons for my class of Year 4 children. He agreed straight away & became an instant 'hit' with everyone. He made sure that all children, regardless of ability, were engaged at all times, and showed them how many of the skills learnt through tennis, could be applied to other sports. He was quick to praise & offer words of encouragement, particularly to the less confident, & it was inspiring to see their delight as they improved & succeeded. It wasn't only the children who were learning though - I picked up many warm-up ideas & rediscovered my slightly waning enthusiasm for teaching games! Thanks Jack!!

Jack coached my class for 10weeks, honouring his commitment even when he was training at Southend. He then agreed to repeat the 'course' with another year 4 class – again inspiring & encouraging all children, including a number of children for whom school can sometimes be a rather challenging place.

During his time with us, Jack also ran a very popular after-school 'MultiSports' club, quickly named 'JackClub' by the children. Each week the children chose a different sport, which Jack then coached them in, teaching & linking skills across all of the sports. Points were awarded each week for effort, enthusiasm, sportsmanship, improvement, etc. with the winner at the end of the course winning a trophy & giftcard. Again, children of all abilities were inspired to take part, & developed not only their sporting skills, but also their general self-confidence.

I am so glad that I e-mailed Jack, & was devastated when he moved on to a new club. I have no qualms in recommending him to other schools and clubs, & wish him every success in both his football & coaching careers.
